Add a dedicated network component to your streaming setup with the Matrix Audio SS-1 Pro. A linear power supply, precision clocking, isolated network connections and passive cooling distinguish its hi-fi-focused design.
Key Features
- Two 10Gbps SFP/SFP+ ports – fit fiber or RJ45 modules; running fiber to your player gives complete electrical isolation from noisy network gear.
- Dedicated 100Mbps ports – two low-speed ports let you slow the link to audio devices, reducing the chance of transmission bit errors.
- Femtosecond clock and RF synthesizer – a low-phase-noise clock drives the main controller, and a 10MHz external clock input lets you use a master clock.
- Built-in linear power supply – a custom toroidal transformer, Schottky diodes, around 10,000 uF of filtering and up to six ultra-low-noise LDO regulators.
- Shielded, well-spaced sockets – individually shielded transformers and Ethernet jacks resist RF interference, and the spacing leaves room for thick audio cables.
- Silent operation – a large passive heatsink means no fan noise, and the port LEDs can be switched off for dark rooms.
Good to Know
Place the SS-1 Pro just before your streamer or network player. Several 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports handle the rest of your system. The CNC aluminium chassis sits on four isolation feet that can be changed to three to suit your rack or shelf.
